This guide walks an average consumer through the process of choosing auto insurance and determining what type of coverage is needed and why. And should you ever have a claim, it takes you step by step through the often confusing process of handling your own claim. Some people think they have no choice but to retain an attorney no matter how small the claim, but this guide explains (in plain English) how to handle everything from reading the police report, using your own health insurance, to presenting the claim to the adjuster for simple car wreck cases which in turn puts more money in your pocket, not some TV attorney. It also helps you determine if you do in fact need an attorney or whether you can do-it-yourself.
A very helpful and informative guide. Highly recommended.

This book does a good job of explaining the components which make up an auto insurance policy. The information makes it much easier to tailor an auto insurance policy for the individual reader’s situation/needs. The last thing anyone wants to do is find out after an accident that their plan doesn’t do what the insurance holder hoped or thought it would. This book contains information that you are better off knowing before you “need to know it.”
The book also outlines what to do in the case of an accident and how to make sure you are fairly treated in any resulting claims. The insurance industry is under tremendous pressure to keep claims as low as possible, so as an insurance consumer it makes sense to understand the system and make sure that all individual needs are appropriately covered. This book is very straighforward and helps make points using various real life examples.
I’d recommend this book as it helps level the playing field between consumer and insurer…
